The shortest war in history, it ended in just 38 minutes #today #news #viral
There have been many big wars in world history, which have lasted for years. Now look at the First World War and the Second World War, which lasted for four years and six years respectively. But there has also been a war in history, which lasted for only 38 minutes, because the enemies surrendered in Iran itself. This war is known as the shortest war in history. This war was fought between England and Zanzibar. Zanzibar is an archipelago and is currently a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania. It was in 1890, when Kanzibar signed a treaty between Britain and Germany. Due to this treaty, Britain took control of Zanzibar, while most of Tanzania went to Germany. After the treaty, Britain handed over the responsibility of looking after Zanzibar to Hamad bin Dhuvani, after which Churauni declared himself the Gullan here. Hamad bin Thuwaini ruled Zanzibar peacefully and responsibly from 1893 to 1896, but he died on 25 August 1896, after which Dhruwaini's nephew Khalid bin Varshas declared himself the Sultan of Zanzibar and seized power in Zanzibar. It is said that Khalid poisoned Hamad bin Dhuwaini to death to seize power. Since Britain had control over Zanzibar, it was not liked by them that Khalid bin Barshas seized power in Zanzibar without their permission, after which Britain ordered Khalid to step down from the post of Sultan, but Khalid ignored their order. On top of that, he deployed about three thousand soldiers all around for his and the palace's security. When Britain came to know about this, they once again asked Khalid to step down from the post of Sultan, but Khalid refused to do so. Now Britain had only one way left to take control of Zanzibar again and that was war. Therefore, Britain sent its navy to attack Zanzibar with full preparation and strategy. On the morning of 27 August 1896, the British Navy started bombing the palace of Zanzibar with its ships and destroyed it. In just 38 minutes, a ceasefire was declared and the war ended. This is considered to be the shortest ceasefire in history. Zanzibar became independent from Britain in December 1963, but a month later a bloody revolution took place here. It is said that thousands of Arabs and Indians were killed in this revolution and thousands were expelled from Zanzibar. After this, the Republic of Zanzibar and Pemba was established. A few months later, this republic was included in Tanganyika and later the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar was named United Republic of Tanzania. However, Zanzibar is still a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania. There is a separate government here, which is known as 'Resolutionary Government of Zanzibar'.
